Membership News - March 6, 2009 March Madness! March is a very busy time. The Legislature and our foes are out in full force keeping us very busy with bills and initiatives affecting guides. It is also Show Month and Special Event Month. We need you to volunteer and help these two committees. Both promote MPGA to the public, and help raise funds that are vital to maintaining our fight in Augusta. 1. MPGA Meetings:

Events Committee needs Your Help Please contact Don Dudley at ddudley@hughes.net if you are able to help or would like more information: The MPGA "Events Committee" will be at three special retail events in March.
The Committee has sponsored a seminar at Kittery and L.L.Bean, and will have a display booth at all three locations to meet the public and discuss the Association's activities and Maine Guides. Help is needed at all locations to staff our display and represent MPGA. We will be selling raffle tickets at Kittery Trading Post and Cabela's. The Events Committee also needs guides to become regular MPGA speakers and representatives at future events. Please let us know about your specialty. This is a great chance for some public exposure.
