Maine Guides Education Fund

The Maine Guides Education Fund is a foundation created to support public education and advocacy efforts to protect our natural resources and preserve our outdoor recreation traditions.

The mission of the Maine Guides Education Fund is to educate and advocate regarding outdoor recreation, public access, land conservation, land use policy, fish and wildlife management, and the sustainable use of natural resources,  and to participate with Maine's industry, land owners, land managers, agricultural  interests, State and Federal governments, sporting and conservation groups, to ensure the future of Maine's outdoor recreation heritage traditions including hunting, fishing, camping, canoeing and snowmobiling.

The Maine Guides Education Fund is supported by the generous donations of businesses and individuals. The Fund is a 501c3 public charity, which means that donations are tax deductible.

MPGA News

One benefit of being an MPGA member is a free listing in our print directory 10,000 copies are distributed at a variety of outdoor shows and the states visitor information centers.

We e-mail an invitation to view it online each week to individuals seeking information on outdoor activities on the states toirism website. Direct mail it to a similar list and it goes to outdoor shows around the country with the Maine Office of Tourism and the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.
