Moose hunts in zone 3 and 6 are mostly farm country intermixed with large wood lots.  Hunting the edge of cover is very productive as they move from feeding to bedding areas.  Zone 2 moose hunts are a true deep woods experience in the North Maine Woods hunting from logging roads, clear-cuts and wetlands throughout the zone.  Hunting from all of these zones are spot and stalk; calling is also very productive late September and early October.  The moose rut is in full swing at this time of year. 
 
On two occasions while guiding, these hunts were even filmed for the Outdoor Channel, featuring the Crown of Maine as one of the top moose hunting opportunities for Canadian Moose.  The bonus of these hunts is the fall leaves are at peak and the scenery is spectacular in the fall air.
